Iodine is an element which is essential for our thyroid gland to produce the hormones thAT regulate metabolism. Iodine is used by the thyroid gland to make T3 (triiodothyronine), and T4 (thyroxine)the two key hormones which are essential for the master gland of the metabolism To get your thyroid to function properly you need the optimal intake of iodine in your diet. By not having the right amount of iodine in your diet you can experience iodine deficiency which can cause hypothyroidism, goiter, and even brain disorders.

What is Iodine Deficiency

Iodine is not naturally occurring in your body so you have to get it from your diet by eating iodine rich foods such as Breads, cheeses, cow's milk, eggs, seafood, greens, raw sunflower seeds, frozen yogurt, ice cream, iodine containing multivitamins, saltwater fish, seaweed (including kelp, dulce, nori), Shellfish, Soy milk, Soy Sauce, Yoghurt. Also Iodine is added to table salt in many countries.

So where your body is not getting the right amount of iodine from your diet needed to produce enough thyroid hormone hypothyroidism (under active thyroid) or goiter (enlarged thyroid can develop. Iodine Deficiency can lead on to a range of health problems and optimal thyroid production is important for your general health.

How Can I Correct thyroid Iodine Levels?

Increasing the amount of iodine rich foods in your diet can boost your iodine levels. Where generalized deficiencies exist you can also iodine as a tablet or drops

Using Nascent Iodine To Correct Tyhroid Iodine Levels

Nascent Iodine is unlike other forms of iodine, it is iodine
which comes in its atomic form rather then molecular form.
Essentially this means (with out getting to technical) that once digested the body can recognize this iodine as the same type of iodine that the thyroid produces and it is absorbed in the same way as natural iodine by the body.

To Support the body for energy and increase iodine levels take
up to 6 drops a day. It is better to have small doses more often then large doses less frequently.

Best taken on a empty stomach 30 minutes before or one hour after a meal, medication or supplement. - you will find this will build up.

It is better to take this before breakfast or lunch or at least before 4pm as it can raise your energy levels and keep you awake at night.
