Dimetapp DM Cold & Cough Elixir also comes in a colour free variety for those children who are sensitive to added colours.

"Who can take Dimetapp DM Cold and Cough Elixir?"
Children 2 years and over and Adults
Do not use: for children under 2 years, if tamper evident cap seal is broken or missing, if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.

"How do I take Dimetapp DM Cold and Cough Elixir"
Children 2 to 6 years  2.5 mL
Children 6 to 12 years 5 mL
Adults and Children over 12 years    10 mL   
Take Every 4 hours (as necessary)     
Do not exceed 6 doses in 24 hours
  • May be diluted with water or fruit juice. A measuring cup is included with this product for accurate dose measurement.
  • Keep to recommended dose. If an overdose is taken or suspected, ring the Poisons Information Centre or discontinue use and seek professional assistance immediately.
Caution: If symptoms persist for more than 48 hours, or are accompanied by a fever, rash or persistent headache, stop use and consult a doctor. These could be signs of a serious condition. For precautions and warnings please refer to the carton.

Warning: This product may cause drowsiness in some people. If affected, do not drive a vehicle or operate machinery. Avoid alcohol

"What is in it?"
Sodium benzoate, saccharin sodium, alcohol, sorbitol (32.76g/60mL).
Sorbitol may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhoea.
