PanOxyl Acne Gel 2.5% 40gPanOxyl Acnegel is used to treat acne or pimples. PanOxyl Acne Gel 2.5 is a topical preparations and contains 2.5% benzoyl peroxide as active ingredient in a gel base. It combats pimples through its antibacterial action and peeling (desquamative) effect. The Gel base also assists rapid absorption into the skin to assist in reduce the bacteria or germs which are implicated in acne.It helps to:
Treatment should normally begin with the lowest strength (PanOxyl Acne Gel 2.5) unless otherwise advised by your doctor.
If it does not rub into the skin easily, you are using to much. The reaction of the skin to benzoly peroxide differs in individual patients. The higher concentration in PanOxyl Acnegel 5 & 10 may be required to produce a satisfactory response. "Are the any Cautions?" A mild burning or tingling sensation may occur when using for the first time. There may be moderate redness, peeling or itching over the first few days. This indicates that PanOxyl is working. If excessive redness, itching or irritation occurs, or if symptoms persist, stop using and consult your doctor or pharmacist. Do not use if you have a known sensitivity to benzoyl peroxide. To avoid irritation keep away from mouth, eyes and other mucous membranes. This product may bleach dyed fabrics.
